Hi, I’m Rachael.
I journeyed into teaching through children’s and family yoga before completing my 200-hour teacher training in 2018. Since then, I have studied trauma-sensitive yoga, meditation and nidra, and prenatal yoga. I teach infant massage therapy to parents and caregivers and love incorporating elements from prenatal yoga and meditation into my sessions.
My heart-guided decisions took me away from many years behind a computer and led me to the yoga mat. What started as a personal and purely physical practice to heal joint pain expanded into a lifestyle captivated by the body’s desire to heal, the mind-body connection, and the belief that we are meant to experience much more peace than most feel is available.
Maybe it’s the Oregonian in me. My daydreams are filled with visions of women and their babies, drinking tea and eating beautiful food, surrounded by nature and sporadic farm animals. I believe we were created to live in community, support one another in the big and the small, to heal and to dream and find joy in the simple pleasures. My heart is to create space for community, healing, and hope, while feeling supported in our similarities and celebrated in our differences.
If you feel like your heart might like to be sitting next to mine in a field with a chicken one day, I think we should connect.
